Buller Cycling

Registration will take place between 5.45 and 6.00pm at the Fishing School on Brougham Street.  While there you will need to pay your race fee and collect your race number.  As soon as you are registered please make your way to the start line, where the briefing will be given at 6.10pm.  This will ensure a timely start to the race each week.  

Any riders who arrive at the fishing school after 6.00pm must ride with the last bunch to go (this will be the fastest riders!!).  If you cannot make it to the Fishing School by 6.00pm, please text Leanne (0273 400-515) before 5.45pm to let her know you will be there and pay at the start line.     
 
All riders must have been given a briefing prior to racing. Please do not ask us to bend on this rule as it is a legal requirement.  If you stick to the times above you will never miss a briefing!!

The Social side of things ...The  social  ride  will  operate  under  the  following  guidelines  for  the different race types:

Mass starts - social bunch and bunch director (experienced rider) to stay at rear of competitive bunch in neutral zone and stay behind last competitive rider during the race.

Handicap - non-competitive riders and bunch director to start first and not to interfere in the race by joining the competitive bunches.  

Time Trials - These can be ridden either as an individual or as a team of two if you want some company for the ride. 

In addition to the above, the social group will need to stay together so that everyone gets to enjoy the benefits of bunch riding, rather than slogging it out by themselves.  The bunch can also turn and head for home whenever they like.
 
Race Fees… $5 per ride is all we ask.  A $20 club membership fee will also apply if you ride three or more races in the season.  This covers the cost of timekeepers, traffic management setup, tail car drivers, affiliation fees and other running costs.  Riders can pay for races in advance, and we would love it if you always kept your account in credit.
